Conquest, Love & Self Perseverance - CMI.64

Nordic Vision #12

The third album from Ordo Equlibrio is a beautiful musical experience, both for the ear and the mind. Much like their earlier albums this duo explores the mind's ability to understand both the music and the lyrics they bring forth in a dark divine way. Both voices are very controlled and focused, so is the music as well. No abrupt sounds, just a continuing relaxation into the skies. Perfect for lonely nights, candlelight and dark visual aspects. Especially recommended for Cold Meat fans.

Codex, December 1998

Rites of passage. Their English lyrics are used for conjuring. Along the same lines as Mental Measuretech, the introduction song has Male and Female synchronized vocals over an ominous background. Track 2 contains uplifting messages of love, unity and individuality held up by a low droning atmosphere and a repetitive sequence of guitar chords. As the CD title suggest, Ordo Equilibrium is here to help set you free from social constraints. Their music consists of slight sequences, vocals(male and female) and ambient soundscapes. Next time I have a bad day at work I fully intend to come home and listen to this CD to cheer me up and allow me to feel justified being who I am. I respect the process by which they are helping people to be individually free, and the music is pretty good too. There are relatively few layers, which is a nice change from most bands. Another good bands for rituals, especially those involving self liberation.
