This album marks the welcome return of one of the most amazing industrial acts: The conception of the Czech ensemble SKROL arised from the visions of its spiritual father Vladimír Hirsch (composer, keyboards, drums, programming, vocal) in autumn 1995, when he was joined by Martina Sanollová-Sweeney (vocals) and Tom Saivon (lyrics, noise structures). The project employs original principles of composition, with added influences of classical music. Their inspiration derives mainly from Slavic melodies and harmonies. Originally an instrumental suite by Vladimir Hirsch, created in 2000, later some of the tracks were re-worked completely by the enseble. The result is a majestic and uncompromisingly beautiful album of great melodies, contemporary neo-classical orchestrations accompanied by industrial ambient- and noise sounds, generated by the latest technology. The album is a sort of ‘swan song’ for the band, that definitely discontinues their activities after this album.
