- Stahlwerk 9 is brainchild of Reinhard Hopfe, his first fullength CD was also produced by Achtung Baby! and distributed by Cold Lands. New recording has celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first russian revolution. Slow collage of long symphonic samples and orchestral movements, creating grievous and anxious atmosphere: commonly speaking, it can be compared to those dark postindustrial soundscapes known from works of Turbund Sturmwerk, Inade, Toroidh, A Challenge Of Honour, Predominance and alikes. One of the points of references is the famous movie "Battleship Potemkin" (1925) by Sergei M. Eisenstein, which can be a good visual following for the album - on the dark-ambient background, there are various russian choir singing, including well-known songs like "Warszawianka" and "Internationale".
